The Poet's Eyes

Image: origin unknown, Sufi dancers

To see the world

through soft eyes

is to See the world

through the poet’s eyes.

Duality blurs into Unity

when it is the heart

that manifests Vision.

‘Round and ‘round

the ancient dihedral

dances the Beloved’s

suitor.

Surely he finds himself

liquored on his own breath

when he realizes

it is he in the spotless looking glass

gazing gently

upon the soul of the world.

  1. Sacred Reciprocity: Courting the Beloved in Everyday Life? Is there a book that slipped through the gates that I don't know about? Darn.
