Directions of the Geese

Image: origin unknown

Between the clouds
and the Great Mystery,
forgotten by all but our
most primal being,
lies an atmosphere
where we can meet those
we’ve denied and abandoned.

Soul fragments linger
in the ethers
awaiting recognition
and a mustering of courage.

They count the seasons
of their exile by
the directions of the geese.

Won’t you call
yourSelf
Home?

  1. Your poetry touches something within me in a similar way to all my favorites by Mary Oliver. I say similar, and not the same because though I feel the same beauty, far vision, talent, gift with words and understanding, I don't know her, or if she has as tender a heart, or the same ability as a seer and healer of souls. So, so much love and gratitude for you.
