The Men have gathered in Council.

Some say that it is time they decide

to remove the knives from the backs of

the Women.

There is great fear in this:

“A Woman is a powerful thing when whole.”

But the Sun has decided –

He wants to be Sacred again,

and He gives each Man enough courage

to risk his head.

These are tenuous times.

The Woman have gathered in Council.

Some say that it is time they decide

to again trust the Men to have their backs.

There is great fear in this:

“A Man is powerful when seen with integrity.”

But the Moon has decided –

She wants to be Sacred again,

and She gives each Woman enough courage

to risk her heart.

These are tenuous times.

Nevertheless,

The day transpires in the form of a miracle,

though ordinary enough to be disguised

as Destiny.

[The time is coming]

Tonight each Man sleeps soundly,

his head cradled lovingly

in the lap of a Woman.

Unknowingly, they had been waiting for this day

for such a long time.
